Your PTA!

Hello everyone, we are Glasllwch Primary PTA and we’d like to introduce our new committee:

PTA Co-Chairs – Sarah MacCarty and Joe Draper-Orr
Vice Chair – Leanne Andrews
Secretary – Rachel Thomas
Treasurer – Kath Cook

Our mission

Our PTA provides a vital source of income for our school. This group of dedicated parents and teachers work together to raise funds for essential equipment and activities that are not covered by local authority funding. We do this by organising a variety of exciting events and activities for our children, their families and the wider local community to get involved in.

Recent successes!

Despite a challenging 2020 for everyone, we still managed to raise money for essential outdoor equipment to benefit our children.  Items purchased included: chalkboard tables and chairs for Reception, mud kitchens for Year 1 & 2, outdoor benches for Year 3 & 4, vegetable planters, outdoor table & chairs for Year 1, gardening equipment, crates, trikes & scooters, outdoor maths equipment, a storage shed, a ‘wild frontier’ play hut for Year 2 and much more! The generosity of our community couldn’t have come at a better time! Thank you all!

But there is still so much more on the wish list, including the extension and repair of the ever-popular outdoor timber trail which all the children regularly use and enjoy.

Our plea for your support!

During these uncertain times, our approach to fundraising has to work a little differently. This means your support to help us raise much needed funds is more important than ever.

Helping the PTA isn’t just about sparing your money or time, it’s also about contributing your ideas and spreading the word! If we all do just one of these, then the PTA – and ultimately the school – will thrive.

Although many of our popular events have had to take a back seat to keep us all safe, we’re planning lots of fun alternatives which we’ll keep you updated on!
