Big Pit by Olivia

Hi! I’m Olivia and I am here to tell you about year 5’s trip to…

On the 8th march Mr Jones is taking year 5 to the amazing and exciting big pit. Our new topic is children of the revolution ( the Victorians) and we are going there to find out what it was like to be a child who worked in the coal mines. Parents most pay £8.00 to cover the cost of transport and the workshop. The trip to big pit will include a workshop on servants of the empire, a underground tour of the mines and a visit to the museum. You must bring a healthy packed lunch with no glass bottles or fizzy drinks. The Glasllwch school uniform is to be worn. Children must bring a raincoat and sensible shoes / trainers as there will be a lot of walking. A letter has been sent out and the permission slip must be in by the 3rd march.

That’s all from me
