Today’s Learning for Tomorrow’s Stars

The staff, governors, pupils and I are delighted to welcome you to Glasllwch Primary School. We hope that the following information will give you an insight into our school, our values and our vision.
Glasllwch Primary School is a special place to learn and grow. Our children are happy, motivated, enthusiastic and independent learners. They are encouraged to developing enquiring minds; their natural curiosity is nurtured through a safe and stimulating learning environment. The voice of each child is valued, enabling everyone to develop high self-esteem and reach their full potential, as well as to help and care for each other.
Our children develop their skills and knowledge through our creative and innovative, learner-centred curriculum which is rooted in authentic contexts and inclusive of all learners. They are challenged to become increasingly effective learners who develop positive learning behaviours. Through purpose-led learning experiences, children are encouraged to develop as: ambitious, capable learners; healthy confident individuals; ethical informed citizens and enterprising, creative contributors.
Staff are motivated, enthusiastic, committed and dedicated to the children and the school community. We have high expectations of behaviour, attendance and leadership. The partnership we have with parents is excellent and vital if children are to flourish and reach their full potential. We are proud of our links with the community and the climate of trust, equality and mutual respect that exists within the school.
Our motto, ‘Today’s Learning for Tomorrow’s Stars’ underpinned by our values ‘Belief, Opportunity, Expectations’, together with our aims, were drawn up in consultation with children, staff, parents and governors. They unite us and help us to strive to be a centre of excellence.
We look forward to meeting you. If you have any questions please contact us in school at any time.
Kind regards,
Mrs J Munslow,
Headteacher
